Vice President of Merchandising

Create synergy and a lifestyle strategy across all product
categories while maintaining Brand vision. Develop a balanced
product assortment with a strong price value relationship in
order to achieve consistency within all classifications of
business, encompassing RTW, Shoes, Accessories and Licensed
product. Execute a strategic merchandising plan each season,
maximizing margin expectations, business opportunities, volume
and market share.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Liaison between Design, Production and Sales to deliver
strong directional product

- Communicate business opportunities clearly to Design

- Work with Design to edit collections in proto stage and
finalize at show sample stage

- Oversee all aspects of product development, manage
development process

- Purchase raw materials in line with seasonal budgets

- Partner with Production and Design on quality, fit and
price/value integrity issues

- Work with Directors of Merchandising to oversee the
following:

A. Development
B. Pricing
C. Counter sourcing
D. Time & Action Calendars
E. Commitment Roll-Ups
F. Line Plans

- Merchandise price points strategically by class to meet
margin targets and align within all divisions appropriately

- Provide Sales with the proper tools with which to sell
the line each season, i.e. ownership, sensibility, design
concept

- Work with Licensing partners to explore and develop business
opportunities

- Merchandise licensed product to create and maintain an
alignment with other businesses and the brand strategy

- Review concept and development with heads of Sales
departments seasonally. Communicate product needs and
execute with design business opportunities.
