Versatile Technologist 3\4
Versatile Technologists are responsible for analyzing computing requirements for their customers and supporting the implementation of the systems and hardware necessary to meet those requirements. Versatile Technologists are exposed to many dimensions of the IT environment so they need to be multi-skilled and adaptable. They are responsible for documenting and implementing computer applications. Since Versatile Technologists support systems, infrastructure, and applications it is critical that they work to ensure the security of information and systems they support.
The versatile technologist will support a 24/7 operations that is responsible for monitoring critical applications, server, and networks within the company. Responsibilities include:
* Provide end-to-end service monitoring, event and incident management of applications, servers and networking.
* Correlation of events to the services which depend on IT infrastructure leading to improved reliability and availability of IT services.
* Identifies and analyzes computing requirements and confers on system needs.
* Performs a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities.
* Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-platform systems hardware, software and components.
* Support activities use to develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications.
* Prepares release planning for software and hardware across the system.
* Ensures system conforms with architectural objectives.
* Evaluates complex systems production readiness and supportability.
* Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations.
* Integrates security solutions into information systems.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
