Training Device Technician 3\4
Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades, and assists in modification of P-8 training system assets, including Operational Flight Trainers, Weapons and Tactics Trainers, Part Task Trainers, electronic classrooms, and other system components, devices, hardware, and software. Coordinates and consults with vendors and/or customers to determine the level of maintenance or repair to be performed on training device and/or components. Performs detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations, maintenance actions, component handling, and assemblies. Inspects components and or LRUs to verify status prior to installation. Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators. Troubleshoots to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Consults with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment. Conducts on-the-job training of technicians and oversees their performance. Works with minimal supervision.

Basic - Complete knowledge of integrated computer systems and associated peripherals to include printers, media storage, and interface cards. Demonstrates the ability to perform data back up and restoration, diagnostics, configuration control and problem solving of the system.

• Sim Ctrl Load Assem & Motn Sys
Basic - Complete knowledge of simulator control loading assemblies and motion systems and the skills to perform in depth problem solving that cannot be solved solely by referencing manuals and documents. Ability to apply knowledge to perform jacking operation for motion component removal and replacement.

Basic - General knowledge of visual image generation and display systems. Ability to create general visual display layouts.
Preferred - Complete knowledge of visual image generation and display systems. Ability to design detailed installation drawings for the visual display system into the simulator. Ability to analyze the mass property effects on the motion system.
Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationDo you have a AA degree in a maintenance discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance of avionics or electronic equipment, or an eqivalent combination of education and experience?
Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 4 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
Experience in maintenance of aircrew training devices is desired. Experience on Level D commercial aircraft simulators desired. BAO Modified Relocation Package available. Subsidiary benefits.
