Training and Simulations Operating Unit Director

A member of our Technical Services Division, located in Suffolk, VA, has an opportunity for an Operating Unit Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals as a member of a Northrop Grumman TS team supporting the NGTS Training and Simulations Division.
We are seeking a highly motivated person to serve as a Operating Unit Manager to manage an Operating Unit (OU) in the Military Training Solutions (MTS) Business Unit (BU) of NGTS Training and Simulations Division. Position is a Direct Report to the OU, VP. Responsible for the legal and ethical management of the Operating l be responsible for all financial, program and customer base management for a portfolio of programs. Portfolio will consist of services type contracts, subcontracts and IWOs delivering subject matter expertise (SME), general support and training services. OU manager will supervise a minimum of three department level mangers and prgram managers. Exact organization is TBD.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Requires impeccable attention to detail/accuracy
• Requires previous working experience as a P&L manager
• B.S./ M.A. in Engineering or Management related field required
• Must demonstrate experience in Modeling and Simulation for training and education
• Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
• Requires a minimum of six (6) years in direct support and management of training services to DoD clients
• Must have recent direct experience in managing programs of all contract types and hands-on experience in handling customers
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active U.S. Secret level security clearance to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Master's degree is desired.
• Recent experience with cyber training is desirable.
• An active Top Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
• Familiarity with range training architectures and products is highly desirable.
• Recent experience in business development, customer interface for major program capture and proposal preparation is highly preferred.
• Recent experience in Modeling and Simulation for training and education to include management of development of immersive training products is highly preferred.
