Role Summary/Purpose The Technician Training Coordinator is a key role in the Technical Services team, and will design training programs and provide technical training to support key expanding business locations. This role is a key part of the global drilling services organization that functions as the domain experts on drilling products and technical issues. This role is full time office based when not traveling in the field on regional training assignments or customer support assignments. In this role, you will:
Essential Responsibilities
* Take direct responsibility for the development and implementation of a the technician training program

* Create, revise and maintain courseware associated with the theoretical and practical training elements of the program

* Deliver training on all aspects of downhole tool troubleshooting and repair to both entry level trainees and as extended training for experienced technicians

* Coordinate and capture training records for all support and repair technicians

* Work closely within the product line to enhance work instructions, procedures and job aids

* Undertake assigned projects with regard to established and new product performance, safety analysis and improvements

* Work with Technical Services training to deliver high quality competency assurance programs to internal customers

* Support engineering products through maintenance and field based testing for new product evaluation and the introduction of new technical training courses/material

* Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and to ensuring legal compliance

* Follow instructions, ask questions, be willing to learn and to excel, and support the Technical Services group as a team player
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years direct engineering experience)

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in repair of downhole electronic systems

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical training and training content development
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both nationally and internationally

* Fluent in spoken and written English

* Possess or ability to obtain a current driving license

Desired Characteristics
* Thorough understanding of adult learning methodologies and tools

* Track record in delivering technical training to technicians and future trainers

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills

* Possess strong organizational and data analysis skills with a high degree of computer literacy

* Knowledge of MWD / LWD downhole technology and support in a similar role

* Field experience with LWD products, having led resistivity or more advanced services

* Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Primary work location for this position will be in Sugar Land, TX
