Position Description

Position Description:


* Assist distributors and regions with technical support on the Skid Steer product line

* Assist in producing and presenting Service, Technical training as required

* Participate in the Product Maintenance Team; supply supporting data, help define solutions, and release resolutions etc.

* Provide input for service and operator manuals

* Assist Customer Service in parts identification

* Effectively interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality Assurance departments (JCB)

* Assist in implementing Mandatory Product Updates and bulletins along with repair procedures, as required

* Maintain accurate service department records for all technical issues

* Drive specific quality issues in accordance with the Product Maintenance Process to resolution

* Receive, handle and answer internal and external Service problems/questions as they are reported

* Register and respond to problems and shortcomings through Techline and Product Problem Reports

* Drive specific quality issues in accordance with the Product Problem Reports.

* Monitor and report market developments with respect to customer satisfaction, product quality and product support.

* Conduct regular monthly meeting with the regions with the focus on maintaining technical issues at a high level

* Visit customers and sales companies/distributors and work to improve their technical support competence as required.

* Immediately report accidents, near-miss incidents or serious injuries having to do with Volvo products to Service Support Manager

* Evaluate technical problems that are under scrutiny and initiate service tips as necessary

* Contribute to procedural work relating to service messages and technical documentation

Candidate Requirements:

* Two – Five years experience in a customer contact role such as service, marketing or help desk

· 5 years working on Skid Steer and or related experience, extensive trouble shooting experience
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Knowledge and ability to read and understand Hydraulic and Electrical schematics
· Advanced computer skills in MS Office, data access and communication software
· Strong process, research and diagnostic skills
· Resourceful customer focus with ability to leverage company resources to achieve a satisfactory solution
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and internal/external customers
