Territory (if applicable): NA Dairy Foods Business Unit: Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods division is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States. Position Purpose: Provides knowledge, experience and leadership in a primary technical area. Manages resources to assure analytical customer needs are met. Independently resolves complex technical issues. Leads process improvements consistent with the strategic objectives of the laboratory and Land O' lakes. Provides technical leadership and employee development within the assigned area. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: MS in a related technical field from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Required Competencies & Other Skills: In depth knowledge of food testing methodology and solid technical background in area of expertise. Broad knowledge of analytical instrumentation, methodology, and application Ability to evaluate data. Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate professionally, both written and spoken. Ability to manage resources to achieve accelerated time tables while maintaining cooperative working relationships. Proven technical problem solving ability. Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to learn additional software systems, such as the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Preferred Experience & Education: MS in a related technical field from an accredited university with 5 years experience Preferred Competencies & Other Skills: Strong applied chemistry knowledge and experience, preferrably as it relates to food products and analysis. Ability to problem solve complex chemistry related issues and communicate findings to crossfunctional groups.
