Position Description
Standard Job Description: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Specific Job Description: The System Engineers on the SI GPS SE&I program will be responsible for end to end system closure. Primary responsibilities include requirements management and analysis, architecture development, enterprise schedule management, risk management, configuration management, integration, verification and validation. The SE will ensure that all required systems integration activities are fully coordinated, documented, scheduled and executed. Specific duties could include: . Management of system engineering processes . Development and maintenance of the Systems Engineering Plan and various SEMPs . Define interfaces with internal and external departments and agencies . Technical meeting planning and facilitation . Conduct trades studies and analyses as required to define system parameters . Enterprise schedule management and EVM . Evaluation of future capabilities and technology insertion planning . Management of forums including ERBs, CCBs and Interface Working groups . Definition and management of key program performance indicators Position Requirements
Required Skills: . Systems Engineering experience on large complex systems . Experience in several SE domain areas . Bachelor's degree with 5-9 years of relevant work experience. . . Leadership experience managing multiple projects and personnel. . Ability to Integrate with other organizations/teams both government and contractor lead to ensure a cohesive analysis and solution are defined . Ability to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer . Technical leader capable of delivering customer solutions in a timely fashion.
