Systems Engineer, Senior Principal
Description:
Based on an analysis of customer engineering processes and functional requirements, design, integrate, and operate a multi-site secure network that will be used to support rapid-response design, development, and testing of military systems that include integrated mechanical, electronic, and software components.
Engineer would be responsible for all aspects of designing, integrating, and operating a collaborative engineering network, including:
* Analyzing customer requirements
* Initial design of system
* Specification of hardware and software to be procured and integrated
* Management of procurement of hardware and software for system
* Integration of the system including hardware and software setup
* Based on customer policies, develop and implement security and data migration policies
* Provide expert-level customer support to engineers utilizing system and its tools
* Develop long-term sustainment and growth path for system based on customer business model
Requirements:
* Demonstrated expertise integrating design automation systems that include:
o 3D solid and surface design of mechanical objects
o Electronics design including FPGA design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and
o electronic simulation
o Firmware and embedded software design and testing
o Complex, interdisciplinary simulation of mechatronics systems
* Demonstrated expertise integrating PL2-level secure networked systems
* Knowledge of integrating market-leading 3D mechanical and electronic design automation tools such as Solid Works, Inventor, Altium Designer, Synopsis, and others into multi-disciplinary, collaborative engineering environments
* Demonstrated knowledge of computer-assisted manufacturing, and successful migration of CAD models to common tools used to control shop floor equipment such as
o CNC mills, lathes, and other 3D machining equipment
o Photolithographic equipment for PCB manufacture
o CNC equipment for PCB manufacture such as automated drilling and pick-and place equipment
* Demonstrated knowledge of integrating electronic, optical, and mechanical hardware, firmware, and software system simulation and testing
o Prefer experience in MIL-STD environment or high-reliability commercial environment
A minimum TS/SCI is required.
Requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
