Serves as the system architecture authority for the project and is responsible for all aspects of solution design and implementation. Specific duties include:

Leads system design activities and/or reviews system designs, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, directives, and requirements.

Provides technical leadership and architectural expertise to project planning and decisions.

Mentors assigned engineers, ensuring all possess a solid understanding of system architecture and design.

Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of nine years' experience managing or performing software engineering activities, of which at least seven years must be specialized. General experience includes increasing responsibilities in software engineering activities. Knowledgeable of applicable standards.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. With a Master's Degree (in the fields described above); seven years general experience of which at least five years must be specialized experience is required. With twelve years of general experience of which at least ten years must be specialized experience, a degree is not required.
