Systems Administrator 2
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) team to administer the technical order publishing environment. The successful individual will be responsible for leading an IT team in establishing and enforcing procedures, monitoring system health and supporting a variety of software based systems used by internal and government customers. Applications include Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, Oracle, SDL Contenta, SDL XPP and various applications developed in house. Candidate will be responsible in relaying customer requirements back to software development team and aid in testing of software updates. Candidate will also be responsible for generating documentation used in maintaining Air Force certifications. In addition to strong technical skills, the ability to work within a team environment and strong verbal/written communication skills are essential for this position.
Basic Qualifications: 1) Bachelor of Science degree AND 3 year's system administration experience. (An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.)
2) Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
3) Excellent written and oral communication skills
4) Knowledge and experience with Operating Systems (Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, Windows 7)
5) Familiarity with Oracle database administration.
6) Familiarity with Microsoft IIS website administration.
Preferred Qualifications: 1) Hold CompTIA Network and Security certifications
2) Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server database administration.
3) Experience with scripting languages including PERL
4) Understanding of security accreditation requirements, such as DIACAP and obtaining certifications.
5) Experience as a lead or supervisor
