System Architecture and Design
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
A functional leadership position in the emergency power engineering department responsible for creating the strategic vision, developing conceptual designs, system architecture and controls for new business opportunities.
A key responsibility for this role will be to develop the business plan for emergency power based on core competencies, partnerships, outsourcing, and supplier investment strategies. This role will coordinate with the technology and business development groups. In addition, may have development program responsibility. Responsibility for 6 to 8 direct reports.
Key duties include:
System architecture and control conceptual design
New business support
Bid and Proposal plans and estimates
Identify and develop new technologies using the TRL process
Design support
Tool development
Develop talent by executing plans for the recruitment, training, development and retention of engineering talent
Resposible for training, mentoring, developing and managing the performance of 6-8 reports
Develop and enforce standardized design engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across the emergency power product line
Lead the use of ACE standard work and tools for continuous improvement
Education - Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
Experience - 7+ years experience
