With four locations in the U.S., the Packaging Technology Division specializes in addressing the processing and packaging applications in the food, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries. Job Description : This position is responsible for all aspects of Supplier Quality, including investigating, analyzing and correcting problems in quality, production and control at a supplier location. Duties may include: routine interaction with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to proactively improve quality of components; working with suppliers to refine and enhance the product and process by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing/production principles to assure quality of goods; training suppliers on how quality impacts Bosch to gain a common understanding for the overall ""zero-defect"" strategy; performing Quality System Audits on suppliers and monitoring the progress to apply corrective actions; ensuring the non-conforming material is dispositioned in a timely manner; analyzing part/supplier defect trends in order to initiate appropriate corrective actions; preparing and distributing monthly reporting, supplier assessments and audit summaries; performing overall quality / business system / environment audits of candidate suppliers; reacting to supplier issues found in receiving, assembly and at the customer with appropriate containment and corrective actions; processing Quality Defect Reports and issuing 8D requests to the supplier for all raw materials, commercial and fabricated components. Domestic travel up to 25% and international travel up to 5% may be required. Job Requirements : Qualified applicants will have: a technical B.S. degree; a minimum of three years experience as a Quality Engineer or a similar role in a manufacturing environment; experience with supplier audits and KPIs; a strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001; strong problem solving skills; advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports; the ability to work in Microsoft office; demonstrated understanding of manufacturing and engineering principles, disciplines and techniques; strong problem solving skills; advanced knowledge of quality related tools. ASQ certification is preferred.
