Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems (MABS), the world leader in the manufacture of aircraft wheels and brakes, is seeking highly motivated candidates for  Supplier Quality Engineer positions at its facility located in Akron, Ohio.  These positions will have functional responsibility within the Quality Engineering organization, but successful candidates should have experience working in a cross-functional manner across strategic processes throughout the enterprise.  The focus of these positions will be the application of quality engineering tools, project management skills and problem solving techniques, to the MABS supply-chain in order to obtain “best-in-class” levels of execution.
* Successful application of various Continuous Improvement tools. (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.)
* Quality Engineering aerospace activities including root cause analysis and corrective action, inspection planning and processing.
* A familiarity with aerospace regulatory requirements such as EASA / FAR part 21 and 145, AS9100, AS9120
* Supply chain management experience in a Procured Quality Assurance role.
* The monitoring and measuring of business related metrics and the communication of performance through the use of powerpoint, excel, word, or visio, etc.
* The utilization of SAP as an erp solution would be a plus.
* A strong demonstration of problem-solving skills, excellent personal and team organizational skills, and effective time management.
* The demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and report opportunities for improvement and contribute to uired Skills
The candidate should have a minimum of five years experience preferably from within the aerospace or automotive industries or a high technology / small batch product design / manufacturing environment.   
MABS has hundreds of suppliers located throughout the world.  Therefore a successful candidate should have a willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time in order to support these facilities and suppliers.     
 In addition, this position requires interfacing with peers from all other functional organizations within the enterprise, individually or within a cross-functional team format, senior management and supplier representatives from our suppliers.  Therefore strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required.  The candidate must also be at ease with oral and written communication to convey their thoughts and ideas in a dynamic fast paced uired Experience
