This position supervises, coordinates and evaluates the sector's daily activities as well as the execution of internal policies, rules compliance and files management. The incumbent must also ensure the mobilization and work performance of the team in line with business priorities and objectives achievement.
In your role, you will be asked to: * Determine the daily planning, assign daily tasks, and follow up on progress of production. Must also implement and adjust master plans as per the production schedule. * Lead a work team of about 30 persons. Act as a coach and promote a good communication environment * Must ensure the implementation of the Continuous Improvement plan by the work team. * See to improve the workforce's performance by identifying the training needs and by developing the hourly employees' versatility. * Assess employees' performance (PMP) and determine the personal development plan. (PDP) * Control the budget and overhead costs and participate in the annual budget review (overhead) as well as in the development of master plans. * Manage material resources, equipment, tools, and bill of materials. Preventive maintenance of the jigs and tools. * Perform quality investigations and take appropriate action to find the elements to be corrected in order to solve the root problems. * As far as health and safety are concerned, conduct accident investigations as well as workplace inspections. * Focal for work relations management (Collective agreement, partnership with the Union) as well as human resources management (overtime management, balancing workforce based on seniority vs. shift, hiring interviews, transfer, identifying succession planning of supervisor and manager, etc.) The ideal candidate meets these requirements: * College degree or equivalent experience. * Strong management skills. * Ability to work and observe tight deadlines. * Experience in a manufacturing environment. * Experience in a unionized environment an asset. * Excellent knowledge of English an asset.
