Additionally to support all divisions of the company there is a requirement to recruit engineers to work in centralised teams (Sunbury/Houston). This work involves some travel to operating sites to support local staff when necessary. Applicants to this job specification would be considered for all Production Division jobs and for the centralised teams in Sunbury and Houston. Key accountabilities The Subsea Operations Engineer will be responsible for the subsea equipment and pipeline systems to deliver safe, reliable production. This will necessitate identification, definition, preparation and execution of all subsea and pipelines works associated with the operating asset. The work involves: .Being subsea operational focal point / asset engineer for specified subsea and pipeline assets. .Ensuring all subsea and pipeline related activities are included within hub, and subsea and pipelines plans. .Liaison with subsea / pipelines / construction and intervention services to support operational assets. .Monitoring uptime (availability) of subsea and pipelines facilities. .Subsea and pipeline cost management for specified assets. .Subsea and pipeline activity management for specified assets. .Provision of a Subsea Integrity Management System (SIMS) and a Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) for nomiated assets. .Delivery of subsea and pipeline integrity to the expectations of the SIMS and PIMS. .Exhibiting exemplary HSSE leadership to BP and subsea sector. .Coordination and management of minor modifications to subsea assets. .Support, assurance and input to renewals and 3rd party projects. Essential Education .Educated to degree level or similar Essential experience and job requirements .Personal commitment to HSSE. .Strong communication skills and deep understanding of analytical techniques. .Detailed knowledge of subsea production control system design, operation and industry codes/standards .Broad range of technical skills associated with subsea operations .Committed to optimisation through common use of best practice .Demonstrates commitment to building team competencies .Demonstrates application of standards and practices with appropriate levels of depth and rigour .Offshore experience commissioning Subsea production systems .Previous experience working in inspection/ repairs/maintenance Desirable criteria & qualifications .Chartered engineer or registered professional engineer .Working knowledge of umbilical system design / control systems and installation .Offshore installation experience .Working knowledge of HIPPS systems Relocation available Negotiable Travel required Yes - up to 25% Is this a part time position?
