Structural Steel Engineer
Mechanical Engineering Department consists of teams which, in the Mechanical field, are responsible for the full design and development of our projects. From basic design through detailed design to shop drawings. Each team consists of one or more Design Engineers, a Structural Engineer and a Draftsman. A Lead Engineer manages the team. As a Design Engineer you are not only involved in basic designs, detailed designs and design calculations for new machinery. You also come up with options for upgrades and repair possibilities for existing equipment and you consult with (internal) customers and other engineering disciplines. You instruct Draftsmen/Design Engineers at production facilities and you offer solutions to engineering issues within our production departments. Together with the other professionals, you are responsible for the overall design in your project must have completed a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering education. Subjects such as Mechanics, Stiffness and Strength, drive systems and design engineering pose no problems for you. For a position as Design Engineer, we expect solid professional knowledge which allows you, in addition to the mechanical/structural design, to perform (manual) calculations on stiffness, strength and stability of constructions. Experience in design programmes (AutoCAD or Solid Works) is required; experience in finite element packages (Ansys/Femap) is a plus. In addition, you have relevant work experience. Requirements:- Perform engineering structural verification calculation by-hand, using analysis system (ANSYS.)- Must have experience designing heavy steel structures- Strong understanding of structural & mechanical construction concepts- Be able to develop detailed 2D & 3D Models- Conceptual and modification designs of structural equipment- Proficiency in AUTO CADQualifications:- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering- 2+ years of experience Category: Civil & Structural Engineering
