Structural Analysis Manager K
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Successful candidate will manage the B-1 Structural Analysis group. Initial focus will be on the successful transition of the group from Long Beach, Ca to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and of building up of the team in Oklahoma City, while meeting all program milestones. Major projects include execution of the Full Scale Fatigue Tests of both the wing and fuselage, on-going structural repair development in two areas of the primary structure and execution of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program(ASIP). Successful candidate will also be responsible for developing a good working relationships with our primary customer, the B-1 SPO at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. Experience leading mechanical/structural engineering activities on a military aircraft or spacecraft required. Experience performing aircraft or spacecraft stress analysis is required. Experience with NASTRAN/PATRAN or comparable FEM codes is required. Familiarity with the following type of projects is highly desirable: Full Scale Fatigue Testing of an aircraft, structural repair of primary aircraft structure and ASIP (Aircraft Structural Integrity Program). Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
