Overview:
Manage, coach and provide leadership to planners and associates overseeing the execution of inbound appointments from pick up to arrival at Macy's distribution centers. Primary role and responsibility is to ensure scheduling integrity for inbound appointments in to Macy's Distribution centers.
Responsibilities:
Champion and maintain Fedflo accuracy by ensuring integrity of Fedflo appointments (accurate delivery date).
Ensure corrective action is taken as needed regarding critical items from reporting tools (i.e. daily Dashboard, Narrowcaster and Arrived and In transit report).
Facilitate the achievement of performance objectives for Fedflo accuracy equaling the actual carrier arrival.
Ensure delivery times are planned and forecasted to comply with DC hours of operation, carrier exceptions, or vendor exceptions as required.
Facilitate timely communication of information between Macy's merchants, vendors, distribution center personal, and carriers.
Partner with Carrier Management to ensure appropriate participation by Macy's carriers.
Work with merchants, vendors, distribution center personal, carrier management, and carriers to correct persistent transportation performance failures.
Provide carrier management feedback on JDA Transport carrier lane assignments / performance ratings.
Work with carrier management and appropriate MTO personnel (JDA Super User) to correct / modify JDA Transport carrier performance ratings as required.
Provide guidance to coordinators on handling of routine service exceptions directly resolve escalated problems that cannot be resolved otherwise.
Provide periodic written and oral updates to management in matters related to this position/assigned duties.
Achieving key performance indicators, defined separately.
Special projects as required.
Preferred Requirements:
Transportation industry experience.
Strong communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Flexibility in work schedule (may required extended hours and/or weekends)
Limited travel
Systems/Technology:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Powerpoint & Word)
Experience working with mainframe applications.
Experience working with a transportation management system.
Knowledge of Macy's Systems including Mainframe, JDA, FEDFLO and Macysnet.
Skills/Experience:
Ability to work with all levels of management.
Collaborative management style.
Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment.
Ability to make effective decisions and manage several processes in a fast paced environment.
