Staff Systems Design Engineer
AutoReqId 6503BR Job Title Staff Systems Design Engineer SanDisk Job Description In this position, the individual will be responsible for designing, defining, and implementing complex system requirements for customers and/or preparing studies and analyzes existing systems, determining system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, and coordinating design of subsystems and integration of total system. The individual will also identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies and develop and recommend corrective actions.
This position requires a BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, 5+ years of experience in a related field, and proven experience in system architecture design as well as in C/C++ development. The individual must have knowledge of storage architecture and technology and experience in the mobile market and eco-system, while experience with real-time/embedded operating systems, embedded SoC and BSP development, file-systems, NAND flash management, and various system bus interfaces (i.e. SD, MMC, PCI, SATA, M-PHY, HDMI, Ethernet, etc.) is preferred. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
