Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center, located in beautiful Southern Maine, is currently seeking a qualified and self-motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with the desire, creativity, and drive to see their ideas become a reality.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging component designs for Pratt & Whitney's entire gas turbine engine product line, including the next generation of commercial and military jet engines. You will work within multi-disciplinary engineering teams to meet the technical, cost, and schedule requirements for the product.
Strong analytical, communication, and teaming skills is a must. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools, is preferred.
Other responsibilities and expectations:
- Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of various challenging gas turbine components
- Provide technical substantiation and participate in design reviews
- Provide production, field investigation, and aftermarket technical support
- Possess good leadership skills and have ability to adapt to ever-changing business needs
Occasional travel may be required. Candidate must have US citizenship or status that allows contact with intellectual property and military programs.
