Minimum Requirements: Minimum bachelors degree in civil engineering or related engineering field minimum five years of experience in municipal storm water, water and wastewater infrastructure design, site/civil design, and construction inspection. Must be familiar with AutoCAD, Microstation, Civil 3D, and HEC.
This position requires ability to actively market municipal and government utility offices, as well as provide technical and design services in support of infrastructure projects. Candidate must be able to evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals, conduct preliminary evaluations, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, prepare permit submittals, and provide bid services and construction monitoring. Candidate should have demonstrated experience in obtaining required construction permits, including sedimentation and erosion control, coastal stormwater, and wetlands.
Successful candidate will have documented experience in leading teams and projects. Candidate must complete URS project manager certification program within one year of start date. Requires strong leadership skills in the area of development of and mentorship of staff, effective communications, team-building, and staff recruitment and retention. Must be able to work with and effectively coordinate staff in multiple office locations.
Position requires effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to manage all aspects of projects, including RFQ, bids, clients meetings and relationships, project team members communication, monitoring budget, and reporting progress. Candidate shall be knowledgeable in coastal stormwater issues and specific requirements affecting coastal communities in NC and SC. Job Description: This position will be part of URS Corporation-North Carolina's Infrastructure Group and based out of our Wilmington, NC office.
