Senior Systems Engineerresponsible for Commercial Avionics System Development. Join our highly motivated team of engineers designing industry-leading integrated avionics flight decks for business, regional, and air-transport aircraft to support system engineering activities associated with Pro line Fusion avionics systems. These systems are highly capable and employ Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architectures hosting application software performing a variety of functions: flight control, flight management, displays, radio tuning, maintenance, etc.
The systems engineering tasks include technical requirements development, system interconnect/interface design, coordination with design engineering and the customer, integration testing, and customer integration support. The candidate will also be responsible for providing direction, coordination, and control on assigned systems projects, including management of specific work packages for scope, cost, and schedule in accordance with established systems engineering process.
Additional activities may include: * Working with subsystem/domains to define and agree upon detailed requirements * Integration of applications with IMA platform hardware/software and with the complete avionics system * Engineering estimate preparation * System testing and completion of certification documentation * System architectural modeling, performance analysis and technical reporting Requirements: The candidate should possess a background in system, software or hardware engineering, along with experience in subsystem design. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well organized and able to communicate effectively with engineering, leadership and customers. A background in aviation and/or avionics is highly desired but not absolutely necessary. Domestic and International travel may be required.
Experience/knowledge of any of the following would be a plus: * Involvement in a complex systems or subsystem development * Knowledge of commercial avionics subsystem functionality * Professional or recreational piloting experience * Knowledge of DOORS, TCP/IP, partitioned operating systems, C/C , and MS Access * Knowledge of Pro Line 4, 21, and Air Transport avionics systems * The ability to speak Japanese would be a unique and beneficial skill that should be noted in your application response The selected applicant should be expected to work in a technically advanced and challenging field supporting the application of integrated systems to the next generation of airline aircraft, from a worldwide customers base.
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and six years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, twelve years of related experience.
