Title: Sr Systems Engineer (Bombardier EFIS/EICAS Display Systems) Location: Iowa-Cedar Rapids, IA This position is part of an organization that creates Avionics Display Systems for top of the line Business Airplanes. As a member of this team you will be working on the Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS) and Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) created for world class airplanes.
As a Senior Systems Engineer responsible for development of Flight Critical Display Applications Systems for Business Aircraft, tasks include subsystem architecture, requirements capture, software modeling and design, integration testing, software verification/certification for the EFIS/EICAS subsystem on world class business aircraft. This position provides the ability to apply technical skills to multiple phases of the avionics development process.
Responsibilities include frequent interaction with flight deck engineers, and software development teams. Highly desirable to have software, aircraft system, display systems, and/or Model Based Development experience with Simulink modeling tools. Candidate must be organized, and be able to communicate effectively with design engineers, systems engineers, and management.
The ideal candidate will be driven to succeed technically and desire to be part of a motivated team designing tomorrow's world class display systems. Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and six years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, twelve years of related experience.
