AutoReqId 6525BR Job Title Sr Staff Design Engineer SanDisk Job Description In this position, the individual will be responsible for developing and improving our existing designs for all Analog modules in our NAND memory. The individual will also be responsible for full chip level integration and verification of Analog portions and to carry out all tape out related activities.
This position requires a BS degree (MS preferred) and the individual must be an Analog Design Engineer with over ten years of track record in developing analog blocks and analog solutions for the memory space (Flash, SRAM, DRAM, etc). Additionally, the individual must have excellent communication skills with a passion to deliver best in class analog solutions and the ability to work with other managers and teams to solve problems and deliver products on time. The individual must understand the fundamental Op-Amp theory and should be able to analyze parameters associated with Op-Amp, Biasing condition, common mode/differential mode, power supply requirement, gain/phase margin, pole/zero, feedback, and stability analysis. The individual should understand the pro/con of various Op-Amp architectures and be able to find the practical approach suitable for different design specifications. The individual should understand the theory behind Band gap circuit and the basic components used in generating a first order constant voltage over required temperature ranges. Based upon band gap reference concept, the individual should be able to design various reference circuits that have outputs having positive temperature coefficient or negative temperature coefficient. In addition, the individual should have the knowledge of designing various reference current generators and various voltage reference generators that could be used for different purposes on the memory products.
The individual should have basic knowledge of Dickson charge pumps and basic operations associated and should understand all parameters related to charge pump design and limitation for different pump architectures, as well as being able to determine regulation based upon design specifications and be able to design the pump based upon given specifications and optimize the circuit to achieve best performance with minimum area and minimum power consumption. The individual should be able to analyze any circuits considered as mixed signal and design/optimize the circuit design based upon performance, power, noise margin, slew rate, chip size, etc and should also be able to perform the stress check, floating check, EDR (Electrical Design Rule) check, etc on the circuit blocks. As circuit designer, the individual should also be able to perform simulations on full chip levels to identify any issues related to connection, timing, logic, etc. The individual should be proficient in using layout tools to perform layout checks and should be able to work on floor plan, circuit placement, and critical signal routing, be familiar with lab equipment and procedures related to silicon debugging, and be able to debug circuits to check their functionalities and performance.
