Your Opportunity at Intuit: Intuit's New Business Initiatives (NBI) group is responsible for conceptualizing, building and growing new products for Intuit. This is a dynamic team environment focused on building new, high growth businesses. Your role will be to design, develop, document, execute, and report on testing activities. Testing will be performed at UI, API and Web Service client layers. Responsible for ensuring all deliverables are of high quality and result in an end-to-end customer experience with a high degree of compliance with business and technical requirements, software architecture/design documents, and product and process documentation. Responsible for scheduling project tasks, managing testing like a project, and for the quality completion of those tasks in an environment with changing constraints. Independently produces defect descriptions that rigorously quantify the problem to a high degree. Independently identifies the scope and impact of a problem and conducts additional analysis to identify defect cause and scope.
Roles and responsibilities:
. Employ advanced white box testing techniques to develop and test features/products at different levels in the architecture. . Work with the Engineering team to identify business rules, edge cases, system integration, then create and execute test plans against the feature. . Actively participate in defining test strategies and tasks, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones. . Partner with the development team in all project phases to ensure deliverables satisfy requirements and achieve desired level of quality. . Engage other Quality team members for feedback on testing strategies, new test designs, and test plan reviews . Influence the inclusion of testability requirements during design and development phases. . Contribute to continuous process improvements to increase efficiency on both the project team as well as in the QA organization. . Participate in design and feature reviews . Lead a team of Quality contractors through complex features in the product Your Talents: . 6+ years software Quality Analysis experience with a thorough understanding of white box, black box, test documentation, UI execution, reporting, and risk assessment. . B.S. Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience . Experience building test plans from engineering requirements. . Experience with web services, automation frameworks, mobile and web applications. . Experience with agile software practices, early defect removal techniques, and test driven development. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills required . Must have strong analytical skills, be decisive and detail-oriented as well as thrive in a dynamic work environment .
