Sr. Software Engineer (data mining)
The Sr. Software Engineer (data mining) will be responsible for developing and maintaining software and data systems used for operations and engineering activities in our research and development facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Invent creative new ways to data mine, analyze, and present fuel cell performance and manufacturing process data to help our product development efforts. • Design, implement, and deploy software applications that perform data collection, data analysis, functions related to fuel cells and fuel cell systems. • Establish data architecture based on usage and hierarchy, and migrate existing tools our lot management and tracking system to final applications (MES or Data/Reporting) • Elicit functional requirements, document and review them, and translate them into code. Train users on use of tools. • Experience using CVS source code version management tool.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain embedded C code for fuel cell products.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; Masters degree a plus. • Seven or more years software development for multidisciplinary products • Experience with formal software development processes, source code version management and defect tracking tools required. • Embedded systems and firmware experience a plus. • Matlab experience required.. • Visual Basic .NET experience required. • SQL Server experience required. • LabView, JavaScript,or PHP experience preferred. • Experience designing and implementing graphical user interfaces strongly preferred.
