Title: Sr Programmer/Analyst-Web Development Location: Iowa-Cedar Rapids, IA Senior Programmer Analyst-Web
The Web Development team is seeking a senior web applications developer who will focus mostly on medium-scale projects integrating multiple systems. We're looking for a self-starter who requires minimal supervision. (S)he must be capable of working independently and within teams. (S)he should possess basic project management skills for small to medium-sized projects, with a clear track record of on-schedule, on-budget delivery of solutions. Project leadership skills are a strong plus. (S)he must be competent at executing and maintaining high quality standards during all phases of systems development life-cycle (scope, requirements, design, development, test, deployment and post-production support). (S)he will provide guidance and design support for junior and off-shore team members.
Principal Accountabilities
Design and develop applications Write program specifications and documentation Serve as technical lead for projects Estimate project resource requirements Conduct interviews for requirements collection Confer and coordinate with other software developers when modifications are required to multiple modules or applications Coordinate activities with support personnel and other team members, including developers and regional organizations Communicate with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems which cannot be solved by tier one or tier two support personnel Provide third tier support for team developed applications. Investigate, troubleshoot, resolve, and provide closure for problems with team developed applications Adhere to company and departmental policies and processes to help achieve predictable service levels and meet goals Support rotating 24-hour on-call duties
Knowledge and Experience
A successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of development experience, including 4 years of relevant programming languages, 4 years database modeling and implementation, and experience developing web applications against Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Additionally, candidate must be capable of handling complex system to system interactions, including defining data level exchange services using system supported and custom APIs. This individual will be required to design, develop and deliver applications that will be located in an internet or extranet environment and thus require the developer have skills in secure coding. Extensive skills in analysis and software application design, experience in data analysis and file/table design, and understanding of software development methodologies are a must. Candidate must have practical experience developing and supporting production released applications (not just prototypes or proof-of-concepts) that consume and/or generate an XML Web Service. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Technical SAP experience is a plus.
Technical Operating Environment
The candidate should be comfortable and have proficiency in many or all of the following technologies: Java, Java Server Pages (JSP), XML Web Services, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Model View Controller (MVC), Portal Development Kit (PDK), SAP Web DynPro, SAP Composition Environment (CE), SAP Business Server Pages (BSP), SAP Enterprise Services Repository (ESR), SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI), and SAP Knowledge Management (KM). Additionally, experience with implementing and customizing SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Internet Sales Application (ISA), SAP Management / Employee Self-Service (ESS/MSS), and SAP Business Intelligence and Business Objects (BI / BOBJ) is a plus.
Education
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and six years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of related experience.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card) is required.
