SR PROCESS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Working with R&D to assist with the scale up of new products
· Working with manufacturing to support the operations excellence program
· Working with operations and maintenance personnel to perform root cause analysis involving process problems, recommending solutions and performing process optimization
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required
· Master of Science in Chemical Engineering preferred
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in the chemical industry as a chemical (process) engineer is preferred
· Ability to travel - Travel varies from 20% to 50%
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
· Experience with PSM regulated chemical processes is a plus
· Experience should be with a chemical manufacturing company or the experience should be with a consulting firm where support was given to chemical manufacturing
· Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles required
· Knowledge of distillation, batch reactors, heat transfer, mass transfer, reaction kinetics, chemical hazards and material handling are required
· The individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills which includes the ability to communicate effectively with R&D, manufacturing and other engineering groups
