Job Description
Perform as a lead engineer to plan, execute and functionally directs important engineering assignments, which require independent judgment to support Manufacturing activities on both Biologic and Devices operations. Incumbent requires a proven track record, demonstrating the ability to integrate multiple engineering disciplines and deliver sound engineering solutions to important operational issues.
•Applies state of the art techniques in the area of expertise to develop new or improved processes.
•May lead a large-scale program or several small projects with complex features.
•Performs financial planning and assists in the analysis to justify project approval.
•Independently plans, schedules and leads cross-functional team in
•detailed phases of the engineering work in a project.
•Leads a team of engineers and/or technicians to support manufacturing activities (e.g. equipment troubleshooting).
Job Requirements
qualifications:
•Must have experience or advanced training and demonstrate proficiency (e.g. computer-aided design, total quality management, statistical methods, problem analysis and resolution, materials science, design of experiments, software development)
•Completely proficient in relevant products or process development processes.
•Successful track record of managing wide-ranging activities within the business unit.
•Demonstrates leadership skills.
•Recognized as a technical expert by peers and other personnel within the business unit.
•Extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
•Ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews without assistance.
•Ability to communicate and coordinate outside vendors. Develop contract documents/RFP's in a due diligence and fair bid process.
•Ability to read and develop Piping and Instrumentation drawings, develop Standard Operating Procedures for Equipment Preventive Maintenance. Develop and implement Risk Assessments/ Fault Tree/FMEA and Root Cause analysis for equipment and processes.
•Ability to troubleshoot Process Instrumentation and Automation control systems.
•Develop and implement all aspects of cGMP Engineering Design Control functions.
•Proven experience of system and processes operational capabilities to support the Validation efforts (IQ, OQ). Education and/or Experience:
•B.S. degree in Engineering and 9-13 years of experience, M.S. in Engineering and 5-7 years of experience or Ph.D. in Engineering and 3-5 years of experience.
•Demonstrated success in delivering results on several technical challenges.
