Sr. Manufacturing Engineer –Machining
Looking for a great opportunity to work with a world class manufacturing company in Northwest Wisconsin? We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer that is a hands-on machining expert and has excellent project management abilities for new product introduction.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will provide you with the responsibilities of:
Determining the processes used to manufacture new assemblies or make revisions to existing assemblies
Providing programming suggestions and set-up methods, designing fixtures and tooling, and managing the entire process from quote through production
Managing the shop floor layout and applying lean principles to continually drive out waste
Improving process efficiencies using statistical data and suggestions from the operators
Solving production issues in a real-time environment on the shop floor
Following up with corrective actions to implement immediate and permanent solutions
Managing the capital equipment long range plan for ROI on new equipment and refurbishment of existing equipment
Identifying and implementing automation where applicable
Supporting the team responsible for advanced product quality planning (APQP) and assisting the Quality Engineer with PPAP requirements
Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
MUST HAVE a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering (Or equivalent)
A minimum of 8 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a machining operation
Strong communication skills with a wide variety of people
Ability to generate shop floor drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
Demonstrated use of statistical process control for process improvement
Strong background in and knowledge of machining
A positive can-do attitude and willingness to take on issues and drive them to resolution
