Measurement Systems Engineering is seeking creative, highly motivated engineers to advance state-of-the-art instrumentation and sensor technologies unavailable anywhere else in the industry. Responsibilities span the multiple engineering disciplines of structural and performance instrumentation. This position focuses on execution of technology advancement for optics, clearance, thin film, high temperature applied sensors, signal processing and data analysis.
Working in a startup-like environment, the position offers a talented engineer the rare opportunity to bring technology development from the concept phase all the way to deployment in support of today's most advanced jet engines.
Responsibilities and skills sought include:
- Strong system design and integration skills
- Ability to conceptualize new measurement techniques
- Algorithm development
- Solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing methods
- Experience with applied sensors, rotating instrumentation and telemetry
- Laser optics and capacitive clearance familiarity
- Skill at technology development, moving between mechanical design, hardware and software integration to advance from concept to prototype and production readiness
- Proficiency in project management
- Good written and oral communication skills
