Title: Sr Electrical Engineer (Board Design) Location: Iowa-Cedar Rapids, IA Air Transport Hardware Team seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to participate in the development of Display Processing Hardware for Commercial Avionics Flight Displays. Exciting opportunity to join our growing team of engineers designing state-of-the-art, industry-leading display processing and data concentrating hardware for flight displays.
The selected candidate will support hardware development, requirement capture, board level design and layout, and verification testing in order to satisfy Air Transport market requirements
This position requires experience in electrical engineering tasks including hardware planning, architecture and requirements development, hardware design, build and implementation, integration and qualification testing and hardware delivery support. Responsibilities also include technical coordination with both internal and external customers. Experience with DO-254 development processes designing and testing to DO-160 or equivalent EMI/EMC are preferred. The candidate must be a self-starter, able to handle unexpected events, and take advantage of opportunities and events to achieve results to exceed expectations. Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills as well as good team building and analytical abilities. Requires six or more years of hardware development experience within a company Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and six years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, twelve years of related experience.
