SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION: * Component RMA tracking and reporting * Module-level qualification support * Engineering testing and data analysis KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * RMA Tracking and Reporting * Track failed components and identify trends using an SQL data base. * Interface w/ suppliers to obtain RMA numbers, return parts and determine root cause of failure * Generate weekly/monthly reports highlighting primary issues, and driving corrective actions within Oclaro and key component suppliers * Qualification * Support environmental testing in onsite labs and at external test houses * Engineering * Perform engineering tests and data analyses MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS: * Fundamental understanding of optical and electronic component function and design * Familiarity generating SQL dB queries for custom use * Strong statistical analysis skills to highlight primary issues and identify trends * Computer Skills: SQL, Visual Basic, Python, MS Office * Excellent written and verbal communications skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * B.S. in a relevant technical field * Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
