The Pratt and Whitney Global Supply Chain Supplier Quality organization is looking for an energetic quality engineer to provide quality engineering support to the Small Hardware Parts Center (SHPC) value streams.
This position provides the opportunity to learn new techniques, take on new challenges, apply creative solutions to complex problems and interact with suppliers and Pratt & Whitney teams at all levels. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team aligned around common goals of delighting the customer, improving quality processes, and using continuous improvement tools to provide development opportunities for optimized results.
Responsibilities include:
Provide Quality Engineering support to SHPC value streams.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities with our suppliers.
Manage assigned value stream quality system processes to meet performance targets.
Serve as subject matter expert on supplier development teams.
Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, problem solving, and process improvement techniques is required.
Knowledge of AS-9100 is preferred.
The successful candidate will be an aggressive self starter who demonstrates the ability and willingness to own the quality performance metrics for a value stream, and be the primary partner in driving the action plans developed through effective problem solving.
Lean manufacturing experience a plus, as is demonstrated ability to review and optimize existing processes.
Demonstrated ability in decision making, business judgment and delivering results in a fast-paced production environment is required.
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are required.
