Specialist Clinical Supply Chain - Logistics Service Provider

Under minimal direction of (Sr.) Manager GCSC, manage the following responsibilities :
- Daily management of assigned LSP and active handling all issues and developments
- Regular performance and business reviews with LSPs on current business, escalations, reporting and improvements
- Root cause analysis and performance analysis and develop action plans to improve or mitigate risk with departments involved
- Awareness of industry trends and developments in logistics including updating other departments where necessary
- Maintain detailed knowledge on LSP operations
- Maintain excellent relationship with LSPs on KAM and management level, making sure Amgen's interests are served to the maximum
- Maintain and manage agreements with LSPs and actively review periodically
- Develop and maintain issue as input for BRMs and audits
- Escalate LSP audit findings if auditors have issues getting (the right) replies
- Develop and maintain department SOPs on LSP management
- Liaise with different departments in Amgen to resolve issues, and implement improvements.
- Maintain a good relation with existing LSPs and network with peers
- Seek structural improvements in processes internally and with LSP s. Execute on those under minimal guidance and report progress
- Liaise with ATO counterparts to ensure global alignment on LSP management
- Continued focus on operational improvements. Identify savings and other efficiency opportunities and drive results while improving quality and performance

Basic Qualifications
• Doctorate degree
OR
• Master's degree & 3 years of directly related experience
OR
• Bachelor's degree & 5 years of directly related experience
OR
• Associate's degree & 10 years of directly related experience
OR
• High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in logistics, business administration or life science and 5 years relevant working experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
• General understanding of regulatory guidelines impacting clinical supplies (i.e. GxP, ICH guidelines, Clinical Trial Directive)
• Knowledge of clinical supply chain management
• Solid experience in project management across departments and geographies
• Experience managing suppliers and improving processes
• Quick process understanding, insight and visualizing
• Strong analytical skills and ability to distill insights
• Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams
• Natural relationship builder in which employer's interests prevail: be soft and on the relationship when possible and be tough when needed
• Result focused and proven ability to deliver results
• Motivated, persistent, eager to optimize, drive for excellence
• Strong relational, negotiating and persuasion skills
• Problem solver with high sense of responsibility
• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
• Oversee processes beyond own department
• Advanced experience in MS Office applications
• Experience in using ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA)
