Major Job Duties Include: *Takes initiative to deal directly with customers in order to overcome obstacles and requirements. *Become a sought after resource that engineers can trust and rely upon. *Work with engineers to create specifications for customer programs to run within application as defined. *Acts without the need for supervisory approval to solve both technical and non-technical problems, take lead in small projects, translations, customer integrations and manage application issues between SolidWorks and customers where required. *Plan and manage resources to meet schedules. *Work closely with team members and customers to continuously improve manufacturing engineering applications and support. *Focused on SolidWorks Office Premium and have knowledge of EPDM (SolidWorks Enterprise PDM).
Minimum Qualifications Include: *Bachelor's degree plus minimum 4 years experience or Associate's degree plus minimum 8 years of experience. *Proficient with SolidWorks. Proficient with desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio for technical documentation of supported systems. *Experience in preparing and presenting technical presentations to groups of experienced engineers. *Medium to heavy travel is required in this position. *Experience and knowledge of manufacturing systems helpful. *Experience and knowledge of CAM systems and machine tool technology helpful. *Understanding of engineering change processes helpful. *Experience in global business environment / multi-national operations helpful.
Desired: *Ability to work with a helpdesk system. *Knowledge of Windows systems administration. *Foreign language skills. *German language skills a benefit.
