Kelly IT Resources has an immediate need for a Software Engineer - Propulsion Engineer located in Bingen, WA.
Software Engineer - Propulsion Engineering Requirements: 1. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required. 2. Programming and application development proficiency in C/C++, C# (C-sharp) .NET, and VBA (for MS Excel) required. 3. Knowledge of both embedded and windows applications programming required. 4. Ability to document source code in flowcharts required. 5. Ability to develop and maintain data logging software that conditions and records inputs from peripheral devices (ADC and digital input). 6. Proficiency developing National Instruments Labview and Matlab/Simulink applications preferred. 7. Knowledge of engines and/or engine management systems desired. 8. Experience with UML is a plus. 9. Experience developing software for ARM Cortex-M3 Microcontrollers is a plus. 10. Experience using the IAR Toolchain is a plus. 11. Experience developing software that drives various embedded peripherals, such as RS232 Serial, SPI, timers, SD/MMC, VICs, and ADCs is a plus. Responsibilities (in chronological order): 1. Translation of existing firmware source code into flowchart documentation to create specification drawings. 2. Development of custom windows software for data logging and plotting of live analog and data from engine measurement from various sources. May be a windows application with specified hardware, or National Instruments-based solution. 3. Development of test data report generating applications, typically excel based reporting of data collected, presenting data in charts and spreadsheet format. (Simple VBA solutions preferred, custom windows application is OK if efficient.) 4. Further development of custom software tools to assist in engine testing and measurement, data analysis, data visualization, reporting and archiving. 5. Engine control unit (ECU) firmware source code development.
