Software Engineer
The Software Engineer oversees the development of Console Operations Program (COP) software by developing, submitting, reviewing, updating and base lining software requirements and associated interface requirements. The incumbent will participate in developer's design and code peer reviews, ensuring the requirements are correctly incorporated in the COP code; review and approve subcontractor's qualification test plans, procedures and witness formal execution of test procedures; provide inputs for the development and execution of weapons system test plans and procedures to verify the new COP software functions correctly in a weapon system environment; and ensure all Air Force required tasks are completed during the design, development and test to ensure acceptance by the government.
Basic Qualifications: • Technical Bachelors degree and minimum 6 years experience.
• Must have experience in command and control software development.
• ICBM knowledge
• COP knowledge.
• Must have current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications: • ICBM background familiar with Minuteman Command and
• Control software applications.
• Familiar with Air Force software development, design and test requirements including ADA, Fortran, C .
• Preference given to holders of current Top Secret security clearance.
