Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Development Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all software development for an industry-leading SaaS platform with over 40 million users worldwide.
The iCIMS Platform is used by over 1,000 companies to manage their hiring processes (applicant tracking), making it #2 by customer count within the industry, and generates about $30M in annual revenue. We are seeking a strong leader to drive our success even further as we grow within our current market as well as extend the iCIMS Platform to be an indispensable tool in areas beyond applicant tracking, such as employee management. The Software Development Manager is in charge of all software development for the company and reports into the Director of R&D.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of highly talented individuals in order to design, build, unit test, and release great software • Ensure a fun, dynamic work environment & build merit-based culture which appeals to the top talent in the software engineering field • Customer-focused approach by keeping existing customers happy to drive high renewal rates • Facilitate increased sales by delivering a competitive product and adding functionality desired by prospects • Oversee the Software Development team. There are approximately 15 employees total within development presently, with an anticipated growth of 20%+ year-over-year • Extend product capabilities to support Employee Management • Measure departmental performance by implementing & refining metrics
Staff Management:
• Oversee Agile/SCRUM development teams within the R&D Department • Delegate and assign projects, duties, goals to SCRUM Masters and software engineers • Work with HR to interview, hire, promote, and release software engineers • Perform work plan, performance, and salary reviews for direct reports • Approve and oversee vacations, personal days, and schedule changes for engineers • Provide on-going assistance and advice to engineers
Requirements:
• 10 years of Technology Experience • 3 - 5 years in a Management role • Passionate, driven, strong leadership skills, customer focused, outstanding communication skills • Experience leading a development group responsible for delivering a SaaS product to external customers is highly desired
