Software Developer - BI Query & Reporting
Title: Software Developer - BI Query & Reporting Location: USA
You will be responsible for the design, development, and product delivery of the user interface for a web-based reporting application.
Your duties will include prototyping with user interface analysts and designer, designing the actual implementation and writing new or revised application code; reviewing code and debugging; performing development-level testing; working closely with user interface analysts to identify goals and provide feasibility analysis; working closely with supporting groups, such as testing and documentation, and performing other duties as assigned.
Essential * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * 5 years of programming experience in an application or consulting environment * Experience designing and developing web-based applications * Experience with Java, Javascript, JSP, HTML, Servlets and XML Equivalent Essential * Associate's degree in the same fields plus an additional 2 years of the stated essential experience * High School Diploma (GED) plus an additional 4 years of the state essential experience Additional * Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming, analysis, and design methods * Knowledge of UI design principles * Knowledge of design patterns * Knowledge of Jakarta Struts * Superior analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to work independently and with a team * Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills * Knowledge of the SAS system * Strong unit testing skills (i.e. JUnit) * Familiarity with Windows and Unix operating systems Preferences * Experience with Eclipse and CVS version management * Experience using WebLogic and/or WebSphere application servers * Familiarity with SQL, OLAP concepts and MDX * Experience with Flex and Flash technologies Additional Information
