Shipping Coordinator

Description: JOB TITLE: Shipping Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary task would be to service the internal (customer service, export, finance, assembly floor, inter-company transaction) and external customers (end user, distribution channels and CDC). The role will provide assistance to the Shipping/Inventory/Cycle counting activities during the overlap shift. Tasks to include shipping pump and spare parts orders, to the customer desired CRD (Customer Required Date). This role will do the expediting functions as well as updating of projects/order for the customers. This roll will also provide constant support to LEAN initiatives for continuous improvement tasks. The right candidate will have a through understanding of material reconciliation (BOM, items issuance, etc) and its impact on complimentary departments.
JOB DUTIES:
' Ensure ESH standards are followed within the stockroom, shipping are receiving.
' Ensure all activities are well within the compliance and regulatory
Shipping
' Insure all activities are within the boundaries of SOX and inter company compliance.
' Process pump and spares parts shipments in a timely manner through the daily order management program, prioritized by CRD.
' Work closely with Customer Service and project managers, to process, expedite requests, or resolve shipping issues.
' Communicate with internal and external customers order status (weights and dims).
' Maintain hour by hour board.
' Maintain records of shipments, weights etc and redirect records to appropriate areas.
Warehouse
' Perform E2 stockroom transactions in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of inventory.
' Consolidate location and arrange product for the most efficient picking and putaway process, by usage audit.
' Random audit checking of internal putaways and external shipment on a daily bases.
' Actively involve in the roll-out of the bar-coding/RF system.
Cycle Counting
' Help drive the cycle count process, by doing transactional autopsy.
' Conduct audit and research misplaced, mis-issued or mis-transacted items.
' Verification of all shipments, with internal and external systems audit.
Skills/Knowledge:
' Analytical skills
' Proficient in Microsoft office products (excel, word, outlook)
' Experienced AS400 user preferred
' Familiarity with KEWILL or equivalent shipping system
' Ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing customer needs.
' Parts familiarity is a plus
' Good verbal and written communication skills
' Must be a TEAM player with a positive attitude and can-do spirit. Experience: Education: Associates Degree
Experience: 3-5 years in shipping, manufacturing, experience working in a union environment/knowledge of union guidelines, helpful; bill of lading; export documentation.
