Perform a variety of operations relating to the assembly of test stands and performance of development- and qualification testing of actuation systems, aircraft accessory gear boxes, and helicopter transmissions per requirements specified by design- and test engineering departments. Train manufacturing test personal in the operation of the test stand and performance of production acceptance testing. Maintain a log book of test activities and gather required data in support of the performance of tests. Make recommendations and suggestions on test stand configuration and test methods to optimize performance and documentation of testing methods for the production environment. · High School diploma or equivalent · Must possess strong mechanical aptitude · Capable of reading blueprints and test procedures, understanding of GD&T, use hand tools and precision measuring equipment · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of individuals. Mechanic certification or equivalent experience in aerospace or airline industry. Ability to assemble test stands and perform testing with minimal guidance or supervision from stand engineering. Functions as designer providing suggestions in construction and fabrication of test equipment.
