Senior Systems Engineer Temp to Hire / Contract DoD Secret clearance is required (or ability to obtain one).
You will use your skills and experience to provide engineering support to one of the following areas:

Highlights and Responsibilities * You will schedule, coordinate, and attend meetings with AD and Exchange project stakeholders in order to track progress, identify problem areas, review hardware/software requirements and coordinate milestones. * Keeping the Government Technical Leads (GTL) apprised of any impacts to cost, schedule, and performance as the impact occurs is also required. * You will monitor and document project implementation activities and provide critical implementation coordination among Department of Defense (DoD) and Army installations, Regional/Functional Chief Information Officers (RCIO/FCIO), the CIO/G6, Program Manager (PM) communities. You will also provide synchronization of requirements throughout their implementation (site survey, staging, installation, testing, training), within schedule, operational and costing parameters. * Validate functionality of directory management tools for the enterprise. * Write extensions to the directory management tools for Government validation. * Load, configure, and analyze applicable software patches in a test environment. * Submit recommendations for use of Directory Service Management tools. * Perform operational architecture, system design, and implementation document reviews. * Validate that Army architecture and implementation of technical solutions are complementary in nature. * Review project requirement and design documentation to ensure solutions are consistent, gaps are not present, and solutions are not redundantly developed. * Provide initial familiarization training on use of selected tools to C-TNOSC administrators and, in the case of migration tools, to the NEC administrators as needed. * Ensure all system changes are updated in the Enterprise Change Management (CM) database. * Prepare cost analyses, evaluate List of Materials (LOM) proposals and provide the recommendations to the Government. Track LOMs to ensure the correct equipment was purchased and has reached the designated location. * Develop and review remediation guidance and documentation related to system compromise. * Provide support in the development of operational guidelines and procedures to Server implementations, e.g., group policy development, organizational unit management, schema extension, certificate distribution, IP security, and other Exchange Server/AD-related functional capabilities enacted in the operational environment. * Develop operational processes and procedures that support various project stakeholder mission requirements. * Develop and draft white papers. * Develop and prepare draft executive summaries to be provided to the GTL. * Provide support with NetOps systems and components to include: Terminal Services, Websphere Portal, Systems Management Server (SMS), Retina-REM, Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), CITRIX, Alarmpoint, Tivoli, NETCOOL, Remedy-IT Service Management (ITSM), Anti-Virus, Oracle RAC, Oracle DB, SQL Server, Operating Systems (Win 2003, Win 2008, Redhat, Solaris), VMware, Rapid Deployment Pack (RDP) Server/Virtual Center Management System (VCMS), Hiper-V, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Veritas Netbackup and Clustering, NetApps backup, Grid Control, Jumpstart, Kickstart, Spectrum, Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Responders and Repeaters, Arcsight, Spectrum, Host-Based Security System (HBSS) and Blade Servers and Enclosures. * Support storage systems and related components to include: Disk Control and Array Frames, SAN Fabric switches and Fiber channel Switches, Tape and Virtual Library Systems, Storage Monitoring and Management Tools, and Data Encryption Appliances. * Support and provide guidance with Microsoft Windows and UNIX/LINUX systems supporting Microsoft SQL, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), and BMC Remedy Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) applications. * Knowledge and working experience with Exchange Mail systems and components. * Stay current on new NetOps technologies and products, conduct evaluations, including IA security analysis of candidate products and develop recommendations for infusion of applicable technologies and products into the Army Enterprise and GNEC architecture. * Provide NetOps engineering, Tier 3, and integration support to resolve and mitigate unforeseen technical issues during component change implementation and in response to user trouble tickets. * Analyze proposed NetOps configuration changes outlined in CCPs or other configuration management
* DoD Secret clearance is required (or ability to obtain one). * BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Science or similar field is required. * 4 to 7 years of Active Directory (AD), Identity Management, Enterprise Directory Service (EDS) experience is required. * IASAE level III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
* Expertise and working knowledge of Microsoft-based security engineering. * Expertise and working knowledge of Unix including Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and MAC OS operating systems and security. * Working knowledge of virtualized environments including VMware, * Working knowledge of secure remote access technologies including Citrix. * The Contractor shall possess operational skills and expertise in the following technologies: * Windows Server 2008 System Administrator experience * UNIX (including Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise LINUX) * MAC OS * Virtualization * Remote Access * NetOps toolsets * IA security US Citizenship required
