Senior Systems Engineer (SCCM / IAVA)
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (SCCM / IAVA) for their Springfield, Virginia location.
The SCCM/IAVA/MDT Engineer responsibilities will include: * Maintaining and administering the health of the campus wide Enterprise Microsoft windows and Non-windows infrastructure on multiple classifications. Daily activities to include monitoring and responding to server events, ensuring data integrity, gathering server statistics, and performing general maintenance tasks * Supporting server platform and Windows operating systems(XP, Windows 7, 2003, 2008) that support applications management maintenance, including version control, IAVA/patch management, and application virtualization of enterprise applications, baseline exception software (BES), and mission and corporate applications * Responsible for improving the security posture of Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments on three world wide networks * Deployed security patches and updated vendor software packages to all three networks via centralized and automated Microsoft WSUS and SCCM network infrastructure tools * Communicated analysis of current security posture to the client by compiling data from Retina Reports, new IAVA releases, and historical data * Troubleshot SCCM client/server infrastructure and developed automated Windows Powershell and Active Directory GPO tools to automatically correct problems * Delivering System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) support in various Enterprise environments. * Providing evaluation, design, and upgrading of several technologies used to create, manage, update, monitor, and report on Windows desktop configuration with SCCM * Responding to escalated requests for technical assistance * Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance * Validating and coordinating all scheduled maintenance on Window and Non-Windows Systems * Installing, configuring, and applying security patches and upgrades using SCCM
