Alstom Wind is looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer
Purpose of the Job To design and develop structural components from pre-design to detailed phase and homologation, ensuring the required targets of cost, reliability, delivery schedule and efficiency established for every Wind Turbine project.
Responsibilities
- Create and or supervise designs in all development steps: from pre-design to homologation of component or technology. - Definition and accomplishment of wind turbine structural components experimental validation - Management and Development of projects or project work pakages - Development and application of advanced methodologies in the field of structural analysis - Knowledge Management - Development of documentation related with design, production and validation of designs, - Evaluation and follow-up of cost, delivery schedule and technical scope of designed component or technology. - Technical assistance to production and reliability departments in industrialization and non conformities of its components - Leadership of SET (Simultaneous Engineering Teams) within projects. - Planning, supervision and coordination of tasks ordered to its collaborators and suppliers. - Participation in technological watch Educational Requirements
Specialised Engineering (Mechanical or Estructural). Master in specific technologic areas and/or in product design is a plus
Knowledge / Experience
- Design and specification of components - At least 5 years in industrial product design and development. - knowledge in Fatigue, dynamics and experimental validation - Knowledge of FEA (ANSYS classic and Workbench) and 3D CAD (SolidWorks) softwares. - General knowledge of production processes of its components - Wind energy knowledge is a plus - Able to work in an International environment - Travel availability - High Level of English and Spanish
