Senior Software Engineer

The qualified candidate must be capable of performing software definition, software integration, software verification/validation, software certification support, and software troubleshooting of highly integrated Actuation Systems for complex, integrated aircraft applications.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Software Design Engineer to design, develop and verify embedded software for Flight Critical Aerospace Systems. Applicants should have an interest in the design challenges of embedded real-time aerospace software systems, knowledge of commercial airborne software design methodologies, software architecture and design and a working knowledge of electrical design principles. Excellent communication and team building skills are required as well as the ability to manage tasks and provide cost, schedule and technical status.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop embedded software to DO-178B Level A software development standards
* Develop software requirements from customer inputs
* Develop embedded software in high level language such as C, or Ada
* Perform low level and high level tests on the software and integrate the software with the end item hardware.
* Assist in scheduling, planning and tracking of software work products.
* Interface software with one or more of the avionics communication buses including AFDX, ARINC-429, CAN, MIL-STD-1553.
