Parsons connects communities by delivering safe and efficient transportation infrastructure all over the world. Position Overview Provides management and direction for Signal Engineering projects. The successful candidate will provide detailed design and checking of signal systems including, block design, vital and non-vital processor programming, relay circuit design, system architecture design and field equipment layout. Development of signal contract specifications for third party contracts, design checking for safety and criteria compliance will also be components of this position. Design and construction support of systems for LIRR and Amtrak will be required. The Senior Signaling Consultant will review contractor submittals and support installations, testing and cutovers, as well as coordinate with other disciplines for system integration and constructability.
Qualifications:BSEE or equivalent years of experience. New York P.E. preferred. Minimum of 20 years experience in signal system design and management of designs. Experience with Amtrak and Long Island Rail Road signal system designs or equivalent. Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
