Title Senior Quality Engineer - Shenandoah IA
Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Shenandoah, IA has an opening for a Senior Quality Engineer.
In this highly visible position the primary responsibility will be to direct the quality function in the effort to develop, implement, and maintain world-class quality systems that ensure reduction in the cost of quality and that meet/exceed customer requirement.
The essential functions of the position include:
1. Lead PPAP activity, assist and provide quality support to APQP / 16949 when relevant files and samples are being prepared.
2. Deploy Work Instructions based on Customer Characteristics and Special Requirements. Deploy quality documents used by Technician and Operator.
3. Responsible for the reduction of internal & customer PPM, Rework Scrap and FPY.
4. Responsible for SPC, MSA, Instrument Calibration, Gauge and Master Design, Gauge and Master Calibration.
5. Coordinate internal audit program.
6. Deploy Standardized Work for each cell.
7. Drive Continuous Improvement and Error Proofing through the implementation of six sigma/lean production methodology. Promote and verify preventive and corrective action.
8. Work closely with cross-function teams to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and customer requirements.
9. Other special assignment given by Quality Supervisor and Plant Manager.

Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements Bachelors in Engineering or other technical discipline
1-5 years of experience in a Quality, Product Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing environment
Leadership experience (supervisory or project lead experience)
