Creation of design solutions represented by solids model layouts and assemblies.
Creation and modification of 3D datasets and 2D drawings using Catia V5 software.
Completion of Engineering Changes on existing product with a requirement of ensuring that all details on the print (including BOM, notes, dimensions, change notice information etc.) are complete.
Interaction with the Project Data Management systems to ensure currency and accuracy.
Employee will be expected to learn, recognize and understand the various products, how they function and where they are used.
Employee should also gain a good understanding of Eaton's BOS system and philosophy, strive for constant improvement and participate in a team-oriented approach to improve existing products.
Employee will be a part of globally diverse team of engineers; good command of verbal and written English.
Prepare/check installation, new assembly, subassembly, and detailed datasets, drawings and review/check existing datasets/drawings and other documents according to Eaton's Engineering Standards.
Ensure clarity and accuracy of designs, datasets and drawings.
Provide / Support effective design reviews.
Perform good communication and relationship with internal and external customers.
Prepare/review project requests to ensure all information is clear and all requirements are understood.
Create / Maintain Eaton Engineering Design Standards and Processes.
Check projects for accuracy prior to final release as required.
Prepare and control customer SDRL deliverables.
Bill of Material management
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements BSME or equivalent work experience.
Catia V5 solids modeling, Catia V5 Drafting, GD&T, PDM system Enovia; blueprint reading and technical / mathematical skills.
Applied knowledge in systems integration
Applied knowledge in mechanical component design and detailing or equivalent.
Good command of verbal and written English.
Good communication skills with internal and external customers.
